As vice president of strategic communications and a member of the Wixted & Company leadership team, Tamera Hanson leads strategic account teams and serves as a trusted advisor to the firm’s clients. With decades of experience in strategic communications, public relations and marketing, Tamera partners with organizations and leaders to protect reputations, strengthen brands and advance business objectives.
Tamera and her team serve clients across a broad range of industries, including manufacturing, financial services, agribusiness, healthcare, nonprofit and more. She also oversees the firm’s media relations services, helps guide strategic initiatives, and specializes in corporate communications, issues and crisis management, executive counsel and thought leadership – helping brands and leaders communicate with clarity, confidence and credibility.
Prior to joining Wixted in 2011, Tamera held corporate marketing communication leadership roles across multiple industries, including hospitality, retail, commercial real estate, industrial technology and construction. As a national district manager, she also led field marketing teams in the publishing sector, giving her a strong understanding of both national brand strategy and local market execution.
Tamera earned her bachelor’s degree from Iowa State University and completed advanced communication studies at the University of California, Los Angeles.
