As Wixted & Company’s vice president of strategic communications, Tamera Hanson leads strategic account teams and serves as a trusted advisor to the firm’s top clients. With decades of experience in strategic communications, public relations and marketing communications, Tamera has supported clients through a wide range of issues and opportunities to protect reputations, grow brands and broaden impact.
Currently, she and her team serve clients in a wide variety of industries, including manufacturing, financial services, agribusiness, healthcare, nonprofit, retail and more. Tamera also oversees the firm’s media relations services, and she specializes in corporate communications, issues management, executive counsel and thought leadership for companies and executives.
Prior to joining Wixted in 2011, Tamera served as a corporate marketing director across multiple industries, including hospitality, grocery, commercial real estate, industrial technology and construction. She also previously led teams responsible for field marketing in the publishing sector.
Tamera earned her bachelor’s degree from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa, and completed communication studies at the University of California, Los Angeles.
